Finance Controller (Remote – Philippines)
Salary: Starts at $2,500 USD net/month
Schedule: Must overlap with CST business hours

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finance Controller to join our team. This role requires someone who is hands-on, autonomous, and comfortable operating as an individual contributor while also providing leadership and guidance to a small team. The ideal candidate has strong communication skills, extensive experience working with U.S.-based companies, and the ability to effectively support financial operations in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all accounting operations, including AP, AR, general ledger, billing, and payroll.
- Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes with accuracy and timeliness.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, management reports, and cash flow forecasts.
- Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and internal financial policies.
- Oversee budgeting, financial planning, and variance analysis.
- Develop, implement, and improve financial controls and procedures.
- Collaborate with executives and department stakeholders to support business decisions.
- Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and financial institutions as needed.
- Lead or guide junior finance staff as applicable, even while operating in an individual-contributor capacity.
- Maintain clear and effective communication across U.S. and PH teams.
- Support ad hoc financial projects and tasks as required.
Qualifications
- At least 10+ years of overall experience in accounting, financial management, or controllership roles.
- Proven experience working with U.S.-based companies (required).
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred but not required).
- Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, and compliance requirements.
- Demonstrated experience handling financial operations autonomously.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently while providing team leadership or oversight when needed.
- Experience in the medical, healthcare, or related industries is an advantage.
- Ability to overlap and work during Central Standard Time (CST) business hours.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with U.S. accounting software and financial systems (QuickBooks, NetSuite, etc.).
- Strong organizational and time-management capabilities.
- Proactive mindset with the ability to streamline and optimize financial processes.
- Adaptability to a remote, fast-paced, and evolving work environment.
