Salary: PHP150,000 to 170,000/mo (paid bimonthly)
About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Systems Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for implementing, supporting, and operationalizing the new Microsoft 365 and Azure solutions for our clients. You will play a key role in guiding technical teams during pilot launches, ensuring security standards are met, and mentoring junior engineers.
This position requires a strong technical background in Microsoft 365, Azure, and related technologies, along with excellent communication skills to collaborate with both technical IT teams and non-technical stakeholders. Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and support new Microsoft 365 and Azure solutions for clients, ensuring performance, security, and scalability.
- Provide technical support during client onboarding, primarily via chat-based support, escalating to MS Teams calls as needed.
- Perform migrations of client data and applications into Microsoft 365 and Azure environments.
- Implement, test, and deploy M365 capabilities to help clients align with best practices.
- Review client systems and provide recommendations to optimize design, security, and functionality.
- Maintain client documentation, standard templates, policies, and automation for consistent deployment.
- Provide remote escalation support for complex technical issues beyond Tier II.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers within the Microsoft support team.
- Research, evaluate, and recommend tools and technologies to enhance client environments.
- Administer cloud-integrated solutions, such as cloud backups, MDR, and vulnerability management.
- Participate in on-call rotation and after-hours support as required.
- Stay current on evolving technologies, frameworks, and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field, plus 4+ years of relevant experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proven track record in Microsoft 365 and Azure implementation and support.
- Current vendor or industry-recognized certifications in Microsoft 365 or Azure (mandatory).
- Deep expertise in Microsoft 365 and Azure (including EntraID, Intune, and Security capabilities).
- Strong understanding of Microsoft 365 licensing models.
- Proficiency with at least two of the following:
- Microsoft server and desktop environments
- Patch management
- Email architecture
- Backup technologies
- Vulnerability management
- Network architecture
- Proficiency with scripting/automation (PowerShell or Python).
- Knowledge of security frameworks (NIST CSF, CIS CSC).
- Strong grasp of Active Directory, EDR, firewalls, and best-practice architectures.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Strong organizational, time management, and documentation skills.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and mentor others.
- Experience mentoring and leading junior engineers.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted ticketing and support tools.
- Previous consulting experience with technical IT teams as clients.
